There are four stages to a smile, and in this series, I showcase these stages with some of my favorite cultural figures.  All of which, happen to have incredible smiles and all of which passed away far too soon.  
 
You can tell a lot about a person from the way they smile.  With a genuine smile, people are at their most natural.  There's a physical and emotional process to smiling.

I created this series because I wanted it in my own home, and now it is available to collectors.  In a way, these are visual reminders to myself to smile.  For the series, I chose various figures that have in some way influenced me.  It's my hope that when a viewer studies each of the four images in order...they, too, will smile.

I'm beginning the series with President Kennedy, as he was a hero to me throughout my life.  Young, vivacious, optimistic, smart, and elegant, Kennedy's persona was aspirational to me.  He left us at 46 years old.

Each piece measures 24"x 24" on Archival Paper.  Each is silkscreened with acrylic, oil stick and aerosol paint used within the work.  All are signed by Artist Cory Danziger and ship with Certificate of Authenticity.
