The Kennedy Portraits
My father was an immigration attorney who loved the United States. He was critical of it, but still he thought that it was an important symbol of hope for people around the world. In the United States, people could change their born trajectory and transform their lives with hard work. He witnessed it through his work. He was responsible for helping thousands do just that over his forty year career.
In John F. Kennedy, he saw the best of American leadership. Though he never served a full term as President, Kennedy symbolized the future, innovation, and hope. He was elegant, confident, and charming. He possessed qualities that young men like my father aspired to.
That's why I chose to work on this series. I wanted to pay homage to "the best among us." In doing each of these, I felt connected to my father and his admiration for our country and President Kennedy.
There are 9 different Kennedy portraits. Each is one-of-a-kind. All measure 24”x 24” on archival paper. Each is individually signed.
