The Sid Vicious Portraits

I've always been fascinated by the Sex Pistols. The music was interesting, but even more fascinating to me was their break up following an ill-planned tour of the United States that lasted a little more than a week. The choice of cities and venues on this tour couldn't have been worse. It was almost like they were being set up to fail...and breakup.

Sid Vicious, bassist for the Pistols for the end of their run, always symbolized "the self destructive" nature of the band and this poorly planned tour to me. Hence, I created a series of works focused on him.
