Ronnie Spector had strength, talent, charisma, and soul. She was tough and elegant...an inspirational, musical hero of mine. Her voice, like the great Diana Ross, defined a musical era of female singing groups that turned out timeless classics that live on. Her sound perfectly fit a time and place...1960s America.

I recently was asked why I've chosen to focus on portraits over the last year. I thought about it for a few moments, and I said, "Now more than ever, we need heroes. Doing these portraits, reminds me that we have them."

Each measures 24"x 24" on Archival Paper. There are a total of nine unique works in the series.
