In my book, David Lee Roth is the greatest American rock 'n' roll frontman of all time. He's also a well documented pain-in-the-ass. The Van Halen brothers had a lifetime of struggles managing to work with him. But in the end, it was worth the headache, as the band created some of the greatest music in history.

In thinking about Diamond Dave, I couldn't help but come to the conclusion that he was a lot like Napoleon. A dynamic, ego maniac, that was wildly talented and engaging, David Lee Roth was also at war constantly in Van Halen. He demanded the spotlight, and for good reason...he was fucking magic.
